A typical piano lesson is once a week for 45 minutes but can be customized to fit the needs of each student.

  • What Does a Typical Lesson Consist Of?

During the lesson, students typically spend 15 minutes reviewing materials practiced over the past week, 15 minutes on theory, ear training, tapping rhythms and other wiggle-friendly activities (especially for younger children), then 15 minutes introducing new repertoire.

  • Do You Hold Recitals?

There are two recitals each year, one in April/May and one in December held at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Woodbury, MN (depending on schedules).

  • Why Do You Do Recitals?

Recitals help build self-confidence by performing in front of others, give students the opportunity to do duets and learn to work with others, encourage etiquette, allow students to listen to other students exposing them to repertoire that may encourage and inspire their own musical growth, build time-management skills in working toward the deadline, and provide a goal to work toward and a sense of accomplishment when completing the recital.
